Whitby Barber Sam at Barber Connect

The competitions bring together the most talented barbers from around the world to showcase their skills and creativity.

The trip formed part of Sam’s development as a barber alongside studying for his Level 3 barbering qualification and working here at Furbellow & Co.

With barbers from all over the world sharing their knowledge during live demonstrations, elite barbering competitions and the industry’s best suppliers showcasing new products, the event is a great chance to get immersed in all things barbering.

Sam was lucky enough to get to spend some time with world-renowned barber Sid Sottung, who gave him some practical advice for clipper handling.

He also caught up with Sam Martin, founder of Apothecary 87, who has been a fantastic support to Sam and provides training courses for barbers new to the industry.

We also popped along to see Captain Fawcett, checked out some of his new products and had chance to see his famous motorbike that he is currently touring on for his ‘Great Expedition.’
