What a start to Sam’s journey at Furbellow & Co.
If you didn’t already know our previous barber Jon has moved to pastures new to pursue a career in finance.
We recently appointed Sam Farrell who is studying for his level 3 barbering qualification in york.
While Sam is a lot newer to the world of barbering, we felt as a family business in Whitby we were keen to invest in Sam and help him develop a career he has shown great passion for.
We knew Sam well as he had been a regular to Furbellow & Co, shadowing Jon in his spare time while undergoing his barber training.
His cheerful disposition and sheer determination to get better at his trade led us to offering him to role of barber at Furbellow & Co.

Last week Sam got off to a flying start when the founder of world famous grooming brand Apothecary 87 visited along with his head barber George to provide Sam with some in depth training.
We were all blown away by the level of knowledge George had of barbering, mixing his sharp eye for detail with a flair for creativity to create perfect haircuts that are tailored to flatter the individuals face shape and hair type.
Sam and George worked tirelessly to share some of their experience with our barber Sam and left us all feeling inspired.
We learned more about the Apothecary 87 range and are happy to advise anyone wishing to know more about which products would benefit their hair type.
We are looking forward to welcoming Sam and George back to Furbellow & Co next week as they begin the next phase of training with Sam on beard shaping and shaving.
