Aran Jumper – Harvest

A traditional Aran jumper made from 100% British wool, with a classic combination of cable and moss stitch patterns.

The cables are traditionally said to represent a fisherman’s rope, while the moss stitch is associated with seaweed — once used to fertilise the fields of the Aran Islands.

The patterns are knitted into both the front and back of the jumper, rather than simply being added to the front, giving it the substantial, traditional appearance you’d expect from an Aran.

Made from naturally insulating wool, with a crew neck, dropped shoulders and a hand-linked finish. The unisex design is straightforward to wear and works just as well on its own as layered over a shirt.
