Handmade in Sheffield, this traditional twin-bladed pocket knife pairs two of Britain’s most useful blade patterns—the clip point and the lambsfoot—with beautifully figured North American black walnut and solid brass fittings.

Designed as a practical everyday carry, it offers the versatility of two blades in one compact pocket knife.

The Blades

This knife combines two classic Sheffield patterns, each with its own strengths.

The clip point is a superb all-rounder. Its fine tip offers excellent control for more delicate tasks, while the curved cutting edge makes slicing clean and effortless.

The lambsfoot has a long, straight cutting edge that excels at trimming, whittling and countless everyday jobs. Originally developed for farmers, it remains one of Britain’s most practical pocket knife designs.

Together they make a wonderfully versatile everyday companion. Michael uses SF100 stainless steel, produced in Sheffield. There’s something rather satisfying about a Sheffield knife made from Sheffield steel.

Black Walnut

The handles are crafted from North American black walnut, a sustainable alternative to traditional rosewood. Ranging from warm honey tones to deep chocolate brown, each piece of timber has its own unique grain and character.

Naturally rich in colour with a subtle lustre, black walnut takes on a beautiful polished finish that only improves with age.

The Maker

Michael May followed family into Sheffield’s cutlery trade before forging his own path, establishing a workshop in Portland Works—the historic birthplace of stainless steel. Today he produces small batches of beautifully made pocket knives that combine traditional patterns with exceptional attention to detail.
