We thought we’d have a little look back on the year as it has been a pretty exciting one for us here Furbellow & Co.
But first we need to say thank you to all of our customers and followers who have made our journey so far possible. We have had incredible support from you all and we have loved hearing about your visits to our shop and the products you’ve been buying.
It all began back in March when months of hard work paid off and we opened our doors for the first time. Thank you to everyone who helped out with transforming 11 Sandgate into Furbellow&Co.
Thank you to Steph who helped us set up our barbershop space, and Jon who joined us later as our permanent barber, we’ve loved having gentlemen, and ladies, through our doors for a restyle or pamper. We’ve also had lots of little dudes coming in for some seriously cool hair dos.
In November we raised an incredible £661 for the Movember Foundation, Mark and Liam ran 60k, the girls held a ladies’ night and we sold moustache keyrings in store. Thank you to everyone who donated, we are so proud to contribute to this important cause for men’s health.
At the end of the month we attended the Scarborough News Business Awards and won the title of New Business of the Year 2018. This was the perfect end to a busy year and really felt like our hard work was starting to pay off.
So what is there to look forward to in 2019?
We’re still beavering away on the space above the shop to transform it into a holiday let, we will be sharing pictures over the coming months as we add the finishing touches.
We are still on the look out for unusual, independent and great British brands to stock in our store. It has been an adventure seeking out some fabulous suppliers and enhancing our range of fine things.
Lastly we’d like to wish you all a very happy new year and a magnificent 2019.
